Grace Iyabo Osuman is an Educationist, Administrator and a Lawyer.

After graduating from Ahmadu Bello University (B.Ed) in 1975, she had a stint in teaching before proceeding to England where she acquired a Masters Degree (M.Ed) from Keele University, North Staffordshire in 1982.

She returned to Nigeria during which period she re-anchored the classrooms – her cherished familiar terrain. This provided her the opportunity for an extensive cross country research which later formed the fulcrum of her Ph.D.

She is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) having specialized in Educational Administration from Keele University, North Staffordshire, UK in 1986.

Following a merited Law Degree from the University of Jos where she obtained an Award for the best prize in Jurisprudence, she attended the Nigeria Law School Lagos and was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1992.

While as Director and later Permanent Secretary in various Ministries in Benue State Government she, not only supervised Masters Student Degree programs in Benue University, but was on the Council of Tertiary Institutions which included Idah Polytechnic, College of Education Ankpa and Katsina-Ala, Benue State University, University of Jos and Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She collaborated with the State Ministry of Justice in the preparation of Government Gazettes and the preparation and presentation of Bills to the State Legislature.

As a Member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) she has written several books and has publications to her credit.

She is an invaluable employee in Quid Juris particularly in the areas of legal research, Brief Writing, training, human resources and Secretariat.

She retired from the National Open University of Nigeria as Liaison Director in-charge of the Abuja Planning Office; her schedule included Liaising between the University with all Foreign Agencies like ECOWAS, UNICEF, UNESCO, World Bank; at the Domestic front, she liaised with the National University Commission. The Federal Ministry of Education and the Presidency.

She is happily married and blessed with children.
